Redefining Beauty Project

Updated: Dec 31, 2020

san joaquin magazine redefining beauty

Very excited to launch the start of a project that has been featured in local publication, San Joaquin Magazine. This is the story of people, all people, different and alike redefining the term of beauty.

I can’t express how amazingly excited I am to announce being the cover story for a local publication, San Joaquin Magazine. Early this year they got wind of a project I was announcing to “Redefine Beauty” a project that glorifies our differences rather than tells us that weight or scars or age, whatever doesn’t make us beautiful. This project was ignited by a friend and local artist - Tara - who had BII and had a double mastectomy. You can read her story here.

Ladies, I love you. Thank you for being a part of this. Your beauty and vulnerability have captivated me, I am honored to have been a part of your story.

Click here to view the full 14-page spread in the magazine(pages 40-54) OR see below.

**This issue will be available in print on January 3, 2020.

I will am continually looking to uplift and showcase the beauty in our differences. I want to raise awareness and change the face of beauty in this world. Let's break beauty barriers together. Please email me at shannon@preservestudio.com for more information.
